The Serbian player lost in four sets to Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros on Tuesday night, and as the defending champion, he is already out of the last eight, losing a lot of points.

The new world number one could be Germany's Alexander Zverev or Russia's Danyiil Medvedev, who led the ATP rankings for three weeks in February and March.

World champion Zverev is already one of the four in the French capital, and if he wins his first career Grand Slam, he will be the first German to do so since Boris Becker and 1991.

If Zverev does not win at Roland Garros, Medvedev will take over the top spot on 13 June, despite being eliminated in the last eight in Paris.
